The Challenge invites students to solve one of three Challenge cases—real problems facing the state today:
In as little as an hour students can come up with solutions and submit them for statewide recognition. The most innovative ideas will be specially recognized at the award ceremony in late March.
The State of Innovation Challenge is a partnership of 4-H Washington, the Washington STEM Alliance, the Governor’s office, Career Connect Washington, and OSPI.
Our new health education lesson plans teach students the importance of choosing healthy beverages for their growing bodies. Understanding Nutrition Facts Labels, weight management, and the economic impact of empty calories are all included in this two-part series.
We’ve also updated our Fuel Up Curriculum to provide more flexibility in virtual classroom settings. With fillable PDFs, students are able to complete worksheets and fill out charts, and they can explore their individual calorie needs with our new interactive online calorie calculator.
