Dairy Farmers of Washington is committed to supporting the next generation of dairy farmers and industry professionals who will strengthen the Washington dairy industry.
The Dairy Strong Scholarship recipient will be a leader amidst their peers and committed to strengthening the Washington dairy community and will receive $5,000. Two runners-up will each receive $1,500.
Applications may be submitted from January 15, 2024, through May 1, 2024 with winners announced in June 2024. Please get in touch with Kaysha Keel ([email protected]) with any questions.

Applicant must be at least one of the following:
Employed by a Washington dairy farm in good standing.
Immediate family of someone employed by a Washington dairy farm in good standing.
Immediate family of a Washington dairy farmer.
Actively participating in a dairy club or dairy education program (FFA, 4-H, CUDS, etc.).
program in any state for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Any major or field of study at an accredited institution qualifies.
The winner of a $5,000 award must wait one year before they can re-apply for any
subsequent award.
There is no waiting period required for any winner of a lesser dollar award to re-apply.
All applications will be evaluated by a committee designated by Dairy Farmers of Washington based on answers to essay questions and other short-answer questions included in the application.
Applications including all required materials (outlined in the application form) can be submitted electronically below, emailed to [email protected], or mailed to the Dairy Farmers of Washington office (4201 198th St. SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036). Please add “Dairy Strong Scholarship” to the subject line. All requested documents (transcripts, reference letters, photographs) must be included with the original scholarship application and not separately, otherwise, the application will be rejected.
Scholarship awards can be used to pay tuition and fees for enrollment or attendance at an educational institution, including colleges, universities, or vocational schools. Scholarships must be used within the following year of being awarded.
