We believe that no one should go hungry which is why we have partnered with our friends at Second Harvest to help end food insecurity at Eastern Washington University. Six food pantries will be placed across campus to help those students who need it most. Not only will those pantries contain food, they will also contain vital hygiene products.
The pantries will be placed in discreet locations in hopes that students will feel comfortable taking advantage of this valuable resource. “We do not want any barriers,” said Kayla Martinez, Office of Community Engagement AmeriCorps VISTA. “Anyone is welcome to use the pantries for anything they may need.”
